Project Overview

This project invites artists to explore the distinctive style and spirit of Art Deco. You are free to create anything you like — painting, illustration, mixed media, decorative panel, typography piece, fashion-inspired artwork, abstract design. The aim is to interpret the essence of Art Deco in your own creative voice.

All materials will be provided, including gold leaf, gold paint pens, and silver paint pens, allowing you to embrace the luxurious and decorative qualities that define the movement.

What is Art Deco?

Art Deco emerged in the 1920s and flourished through the 1930s. It represented glamour, optimism, and modernity in the aftermath of the First World War. The movement influenced architecture, fashion, interiors, jewellery, posters, and fine art.
